Early June 2020

Well, as much as I enjoy taunting imbeciles on Facebook, I thought it prudent to get back to this blog and do a bit of what some might call work. Here we have another shameless conflict of interest. This is one that is particularly close to home, as I was instrumental in creating this branding. Super Bloom is rather a big, viscous wine, with a dense glyceric mid palate and finish. The ABV is a whacking 14%, which for me is big for a red, much less a member of the more gentile and refined gender of wine. The smell is almost honeyed, suggestive of botrytitised wine, perhaps it is. There is a distinct note of canned peaches in the middle, which I happen to like, along with a grapefruit zest finish. There is a lot of weight here. Between that and the honey notes, I strongly think this would be absolutely banging with Vietnamese food. This retails in the mid to upper mid teens.
