This was a Trader Joe’s find, to compliment the Nelson Mandela one, although outside of South Africa, and perhaps the douche world of golf, no one knows who the fuck David Frost is. I thought it was the BBC presenter. Apparently, he’s a golfer. I wasn’t too optimistic at first. However, after I deglazed my pot of what will be chicken and rice soup with it, I poured myself a healthy glass, not quite a Barnaby, but enough to get me through the next couple of hours. This is actually, a fairly sound effort, it has a bit of weight, but not an ugly, shit ton, rather just enough to stand up to a number of potential foods, including something possibly spicy, as there is a goodish amount of glyceric girth. It’s not exceedingly grassy, which isn’t actually a problem in my world, but it balances out some herbs with a bit of citrus, and a wee bit of underripe peaches. On the finish, there is a drying of white pepper, which is quick, interesting, and not imposing. The ample acid, keeps things lively. I’ve not a hell of a lot to talk about, as I don’t hate any of this, nor do I love it. I must say, Michael Keaton is very good in Dopesick, as are many of the other actors. This series is rather good, and I have to say this is important stuff. It is this moment’s Traffic, which was an amazingly important film for American taxpayers, most of whom never saw it, and many who did, failed to see this film as an indictment of America’s idiotic war on drugs. None of which has fuck all to do with this Sauvignon Blanc. I’m trying to think of the actual best moment in this series for a bit of Sancerre or something, but it just isn’t presenting itself. Perhaps, one of the miners could emerge from the pit and slug down something zesty and mineral-driven, once they’ve left the hell-hole, anachronism, that is coal mining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And…by the way A Barnaby is an egregious over pour. The term is derived from Midsomer Murders, where Detective Chief Inspector John Barnaby would return home from a hard day of sleuthing and his doting wife, Joyce, would pour him the most massive glass of wine ever poured on television – a solid 16oz every episode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
