I’ve been mining through inbound samples at the warehouse. Finding this Sauvignon Blanc, sent to me in the possible hopes that we shall decide to buy and distribute this in the Mid-Atlantic, has been a rare peak & plateau we shall call it, in a life of self-doubt & uncertainty.

Presently, I’m sitting here, in me chair, watching my frighteningly massive, offspring eat cappellini off the stove in his bare, fopping, hands. We’ve done a lot today, rather I have, and we have rewarded ourselves with a flight of Karl Pilkington.

This is solid California Sauvignon blanc on the one hand, on the other, I’m not sure this wasn’t acidified. I’m on the fence, here, and I want to love this wine out of loyalty to my beloved California, but it’s just a bit meh. That said, there are some creeping citrus and herbal notes that pop up here and about, that make me very happy. Arroyo Seco is more of a Chardonnay region, so I’ve little to compare it to. It has all the green fruit, veg, and herbs that I like, in a very French sort of way. I liked it just fine, but there was something incongruent going on here that was distracting.
